A collection of interesting things we’ve turned up on the Internet lately.
• As a fitting tie-in with our own stories this month, The Atlantic has a story on the rise of barn weddings that brought to mind two earlier Daily Yonder pieces (one with boots nd the other with a great dog) by our publisher, Pamela Price.
• Richard Florida, renowned economic development expert, talks up the “rural creative class” in a story for City Lab.
• The Edwards Aquifer Authority has a exciting new interactive, 3D, subterranean experience coming out this fall, but you can see a trailer now.
• Mother Earth News turns its attention to Fredericksburg in this article by Lisa Kivirist, one of our favorite national writers.
• Texas Public Radio’s The Source hosted a fantastic episode about Conjunto and Tejano music in San Antonio.
• Our friend Shawna Holly of Boerne talks up Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm at LBJ State Park in a blog post. Also from Boerne, a virtual visit to Honey Creek State Park.
• From our own Instagram account (@WildflowerTxMag): Fiddlin’ Frogs makes a big move to Comfort; the Texas Transportation Museum has a cute caboose; Lenette’s Shop and Sip opened in Helotes, and we found something yummy at San Antonio’s Chocollazo.
