About Our Calendar
Every month we scour the region looking for a collection of “must-do” activities to share with our readers.
Below you’ll find our curated, budget-savvy collection of upcoming events and an assortment of helpful links that will help you deep dive into our major visual and performing arts scenes. Note, too, that as the month goes along we will share more events in our private Facebook group.
Remember: Wise wildflowers always double-check location, date, time, and ticket information before traveling, especially over long distances or during inclement weather.

As it happens, they’re also hosting several upcoming events for families in the coming weeks, including Dr. Kold (Aug. 4), The Surprising Story of Sea Stars’ Stick Feet (Aug. 18), and a Labor Day Scavenger Hunt (Sept. 1).

Looking around the area, we’re partial to a juried Johnson City show we highlighted in our August newsletter. With art work selected by Ginger Geyer, The Breast Show also serves as a fundraiser for nursing advocacy organizations. It’s been awhile since we buzzed by the Blanton in Austin, but we’re hoping to catch Vincent Valdez’s compelling contemporary piece The City. A new addition to the museum’s permanent collection, it will remain on display until October 18. Finally, should we be lucky enough to be in Boerne on a cool morning, a little public art viewing is called for, we think.
