We asked several San Antonio-area influencers to share with us some of their favorite Valentine projects and stories from years past. Here’s what they offered us!
Valentine Holder Frog Prince
Morena of the popular craft site Morena’s Corner put together a clever project for school kids by repurposing a milk jug as a merry frog prince. It’s perfect for holding Valentine’s, but it could also make a cheeky present for your Galentine, too.
DIY Floral Hearts
We’re big fans of Design Improvised, and Haeley’s floral DIY holiday hearts get at what we love about her simple, fun ideas. We especially love that she grouped these hearts on a wall, which makes for a more dramatic statement than a single piece!
Check out this fun video of the project she made for Instagram:
Fun Valentine’s Day Facts
Looking for a little trivia to share on February 14? April of Shine Beautifully has a large collection of holiday facts. For instance, did you know that 15% of women send themselves flowers on Valentine’s Day? Or that 64% of men don’t make plans in advance for the big day? Hmm . . .
Pallet Heart Wall Decor
Another design from Morena’s Corner, we adore the vintage vibe on this DIY piece of wall art. Who says you have to pack it away after the holiday, either? This is cute enough to be on display year ’round, right?
Date Night Steak Out
Sometimes what a girl really wants is a good piece of steak that doesn’t involve her having to clean the kitchen later. Along those lines, Inga of Alamo City Mom Blogs has a prime list of her favorite Greater San Antonio steakhouses.
Easy Peasy Last Minute Valentines
Amy of Maker Mama created a clever collection of 18 handmade holiday items, including cheerful “cherries” made from Tootsie pops and succulent bags. (You know how much we love succulents!)
DIY Pom-Pom Heart Tee
The best part about this clever tee (by Haeley from Designed Improvised) may be that you don’t have to know how to sew to make it! And the simple project would be just as cute on a sweatshirt as a tee. (On a roll with the heart motif? See also Haeley’s doily stamped napkin and tea towels!)
