About Our Calendar
Every month we scour the region looking for a collection of “must-do” activities to share with our readers.
Below you’ll find our curated, budget-savvy collection of upcoming events and an assortment of helpful links that will help you deep dive into our major visual and performing arts scenes. Note, too, that as the month goes along we will share more events in our private Facebook group.
Remember: Wise wildflowers always double-check location, date, time, and ticket information before traveling, especially over long distances or during inclement weather.
In the Spotlight: July 4
With America’s big day front and center at the start of the month, there’s more patriotic activities planned than you can shake a stick out ’round here.
Looking for foodie fun on the Fourth? Then head to the Sisterdale and Waring/Welfare area where our friends at BlackBoard BBQ are hosting The 1st Annual Mike Cayce Scholarship Fundraiser (1 p.m. to 7 p.m.; $20 admission; free for 12 and under) and the new owners of the Don Strange Ranch are marking the holiday with their free 4th of July Family Picnic (3 p.m. to 10 p.m.).
And then there’s this little shindig:
Willie Nelson’s July Fourth party out at the Circuit of the Americas promises to be as all-American as apple pie, baseball, and Mom. It’s a ticketed event–and a little pricey, but if you’re game, details are here.
