Our 2018 Holiday Designs
This year we’ve created two versions of our original design, both celebrating two holiday traditions–homemade tamales and freshly baked cookies. Available as sweatshirts or tees, we’re confident you’ll enjoy wearing them to your favorite tamalada or cookie exchange. They’d also make darling presents.
Calendar Highlights
We now run a moderated Facebook group in which we share events we discover. Members are allowed to post to the group as well. That said, there’s quite a lot on the horizon: Vintage Market Days of Greater San Antonio, a Hunter’s Welcome Weekend in San Saba, and Dia de los Muertos at Pearl on the first weekend of the month; Wurstfest (Nov. 2 – 11) in New Braunfels; Boerne’s popular Diva Night (Nov. 8); East Austin Studio Tour (Nov. 10); Gruene’s Sip & Shop (Nov. 13); the Sophienburg’s Weihnachtsmarkt (Nov. 16); the Marble Falls Walkway of Lights (Nov. 16 – Dec. 26); Old West Christmas Lights Fest at Enchanted Springs Ranch (Nov. 22 – Dec. 30); the Dancing Lights of Mill Pond Park in San Saba (Nov. 22 – Jan. 5); Dickens on Main (Nov. 23 & 24); and the legendary Johnson City Lights Spectacular (Nov. 23 – Jan. 1).
We also keep a list of getaway planning resources that includes area visitor’s centers and chambers of commerce. That’s worth a look, too, if you’ve got a particular community you’d like to visit.
Wondering Who We Are?
We’re a small, independent, woman-owned digital magazine. Once a month we produce a beautiful free newsletter featuring stories about the Hill Country region.
We’d love to send it to you, too!
