About Us

TheTexasWildflower.com produces original editorial content about the Hill Country. Each month, our thoughtful stories feature small businesses, non-profits, special events, natural spaces, and creative women.

As an upstart digital magazine, we’re dedicated to delivering quality, relevant, and fresh stories to our readers. We strive for 80% of our stories to be “evergreen,” meaning that they are relevant to readers for months or even years to come.

We consider our work to be small-batch artisanal journalism. For the right regional advertisers, our smart readers are the ideal niche market to tap.

Plus, we’re refreshingly affordable and transparent about our pricing.

2020 Sponsorship Options & Rates*

Please note that we run on a magazine production schedule, working several weeks in advance. Thus, our sponsorship deadline is the 15th of every month for the following month. Occasional exceptions may be made, but we encourage forethought in scheduling with us.

• Basic Ads

$50 a month for 300 x 300 ads for small business owners/makers/non-profits in our sidebar with a link from our newsletter as well as social media mentions (1 each) on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram (up to 6 available each month and, for an additional $25, we can also create the ad for you)

• Underwriting Sponsorships

$250 ($150 for non-profits or governmental agencies) to underwrite a story in production; includes 2 social media mentions (each) on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram as well as ads in the selected story, on the front page of our website, and in our monthly newsletter. We prefer evergreen ads/graphics in this category because the ad stays in place for at least 1 year with the selected story.  Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3 (up to 4 available each month; includes cost of ad production if needed)

• Collaborative Storytelling

Although as a digital magazine we do not produce “sponsored blog posts” per se, we will consider creative collaborations on a case-by-case basis–with sufficient notice and brand compatibility. Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3 (varied availability, pricing)

Our Social Reach

To be rather blunt about it, there’s simply no way that our young start-up can compete with larger, older web publications in terms of sheer numbers.

Yet our sponsors know that we provide:

1) Quality, reliable content with beautiful photography;

2) Access to a very special group of people–our readers.

As of August 2019, our monthly newsletter list has a 64% average open rate and a 16% click-thru rate—both numbers well above national media/publishing industry averages, indicating significant brand loyalty.
