See Johnson City, Texas

Pictured from top, clockwise: Pearl Street Brewing; Black Spur Emporium; the old Blanco County jail; and an old saddle on display at Stidham Outfitters.

If it’s been a few years since you’ve been to LBJ’s hometown, then we suggest you head on out to investigate the fun-for-all-ages Science Mill (see also our December 2017 piece), browse Black Spur Emporium, drop in on the quaint and informative Chamber of Commerce building to learn about the area, and, finally, head to lunch over on the square at Pecan Street Brewing for a craft brew, pizza, or a burger (gluten-free options available).

Also worth a look in the area are LBJ’s boyhood home, several vintage goods stores, and Stidham Outfitters.
