A berry-hued cocktail in a martini glass on a bar

We can’t think of a better way to enjoy nature’s beauty than settling down on a classic wraparound porch in the Texas Hill Country, within easy access to a running creek while the wildflowers are blooming.

Add in delicious food, a pretty cocktail served up in an elegant martini glass, and you’ve got the recipe for  Peggy’s on the Green in Boerne.

This spring we’re delighted to partner with them to introduce brand new craft cocktail bearing our name. The Texas Wildflower, crafted by Haley Pennington (Peggy’s head bartender), is a refreshing blend of fruit and floral flavors. With just a hint of sweetness, it’s the perfect tribute to our own namesake—the blooms of the Hill Country region.

The new drink will debut officially at Peggy’s on Thursday, April 11th—just in time for Boerne’s spring Diva Night. The perfect excuse for a girl’s night out with friends, Diva Night gets rolling around 5 p.m., with live music, extended shopping hours, dining, and great specials filling the downtown area.

And would you just look at that gorgeous bar at Peggy’s on the Green? Isn’t it so inviting—the ideal place to catch up with a friend over drinks?

Whether you make it out to Diva Night on April 11 or opt to make a meal-time reservation to explore darling Boerne another evening, we hope you’ll pop into Peggy’s gorgeous bar to sample The Texas Wildflower very soon. We know you’ll be in good hands, too. That’s because hospitality and outstanding service are a hallmark of Chef Mark Bohanan’s family of restaurants, which includes Peggy’s and the legendary Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood in downtown San Antonio.

For those of you who live outside of Texas (love y’all!), the Peggy’s team was gracious enough to offer up the cocktail recipe to share online. Now all you need are a few simple ingredients, a martini glass, and a couple of good friends to get a taste of the Hill Country this spring.

The Texas Wildflower Cocktail

Serves 1, but we can easily imagine doubling or tripling this recipe to fill an elegant martini pitcher.

  • 3 blackberries
  • 2 blueberries
  • .5 oz. lime
  • .5 oz. simple syrup
  • .5 oz. orange juice
  • .75 oz. St. Germaine
  • 1.5 oz. vodka

In a shaker, muddle the blackberries and blueberries, then add remaining ingredients. Shake and pour into a martini glass. For a colorful garnish, slip a blackberry and a blueberry onto a fun cocktail skewer and serve. Cheers!
