Born in England, Wood spent almost two decades (1930s and 40s) in the San Antonio area, painting numerous landscape scenes featuring the area’s rolling hills, live oaks, and bluebonnets. Just outside the historic Hill Country community of Wimberley this beautifully restored chapel sits on a two-acre retreat along Lone Man Creek. With three private bedrooms and two full baths, there’s room for up to eight guests. There’s also a smaller “Little Chapel” house on property which can accommodate up to six people and a restored barn on the property that can be rented for weddings and other events. 

When the rains have been sufficient, there’s a waterfall in a section of the creek that can be viewed from the property. The chapel is just a few minutes from downtown Wimberley with its quaint shops and restaurants for a broad range of tastes.
